# XIO Frontier Ventures

## Program overview | 7 September 2026

XIO is developing a path from repeatable inspection to reusable robotics software: a drone reference system, simulation work through BrainSNN, and a proposed common control interface called XIO Bridge.

The first proposed customer problem is recurring visual documentation for construction teams and indoor facility operators. The intended output is an operator-reviewed inspection record, with observations, interventions and changes linked to the same task.

This is a dated public program record. It describes a development thesis and the evidence needed to advance it.

## People and accountability

Slava Smagin is identified on the XIO website as Founder, XIO AI Solutions. He is the contact for this public program record and requests for supporting material. Additional engineering appointments, research partners and design partners are not confirmed in this record.

## What can be inspected today

| Program | Published status | Evidence available | Next proof point |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| XIO drone development | Proposed hardware; reference airframe to be selected | Public program scope and interactive mission walkthrough | Select the airframe, sensor and test site; repeat one supervised route and produce an operator-reviewed record |
| BrainSNN | Software prototype; robotics direction planned | Current public prototype at brainsnn.com | Implement one simulated inspection task with a repeatable evaluation |
| XIO Bridge | Research architecture | Public controller-interface direction and comparison criteria | Specify the interface and compare two controllers on the same versioned task |
| XIO service delivery | Public sample handoff, internal-system descriptions and builder submissions | XIO Proof and the downloadable illustrative Setup Day handoff | Permissioned delivery evidence with baseline, outcome and review owner |

The drone imagery is a concept render. The mission walkthrough is an explanation of the intended workflow, not a live flight, completed pilot or measured hardware demonstration. A working website or software prototype does not establish ownership of every underlying component or an operational robotics product.

## First validation gate

1. Define a recurring inspection task, a named operator and a permitted test environment.
2. Select the reference airframe and sensors, with documented action limits and recovery behavior.
3. Rehearse the route and failure cases in a representative simulation.
4. Run a supervised inspection and retain observations, interventions and a replayable record.
5. Ask the intended operator to evaluate coverage, report usefulness and review effort against agreed criteria.

Docking, automatic charging and each new controller require their own physical validation. The proposed milestone windows on the Ventures page are planning periods from a funded program kickoff, not completed milestones or fixed calendar commitments.

## Commercial hypothesis

Start with a scoped inspection integration or pilot. Test whether an operator finds the output useful enough to continue using it. A recurring software package is a hypothesis to validate after measuring deployment effort, hardware and operating costs, review effort, support demand and willingness to pay.

No signed drone pilot, accepted inspection result, recurring drone revenue or proven unit economics is established by the public materials linked in this record.

## Indicative financing scenario

The existing public planning target is **C$2.5 million**, supporting a proposed **18–24 month** development program. Currency is Canadian dollars. This is an indicative scenario, not committed funding, a valuation or a finalized financing structure.

| Proposed use | Share | Illustrative amount at C$2.5M |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Core platform and adapters | 30% | C$750,000 |
| Research engineering and talent | 24% | C$600,000 |
| Compute and research access | 16% | C$400,000 |
| Robotics and instrumentation | 12% | C$300,000 |
| Benchmarking and data | 8% | C$200,000 |
| IP, operations and reserve | 10% | C$250,000 |
| Total | 100% | C$2,500,000 |

These amounts are arithmetic allocations of the published target. They are not vendor quotes, hiring commitments, validated runway or an approved operating budget. Research access remains conditional on suitable agreements.

## Evidence to request before an investment decision
